PLANT‑0002 PLANTER
The PLANT‑0002 geometric planter embodies a harmonious fusion of tessellated patterning and sculptural form. Its cylindrical body is clad in an interlocking array of petaloid modules—each element gently convex, arranged in offset vertical columns that wrap seamlessly around the vessel. This tessellated relief invokes biomorphic textures reminiscent of pinecone scales or fish armor, yet it remains disciplined by strict rotational symmetry and precise proportional calibration. Small negative‑space apertures between modules admit light, generating a subtle play of highlights and shadowed recesses that shifts with ambient illumination. The planter’s slender height‑to‑width ratio accentuates its verticality, drawing the eye upward along the rhythmic undulations toward emerging foliage. A smooth, integrated saucer mirrors the textural vocabulary at a gentler scale, unifying form and function while ensuring stable placement. Conceptually, PLANT‑0002 frames greenery within an architectural chassis: the rigid, ordered shell contains and celebrates organic growth, inviting users into an intimate dialogue as they observe how living leaves contrast against the patterned surface. The tactile richness of the faceted relief encourages hands to explore its gentle curvature, reinforcing the planter’s dual role as both functional container and interactive sculptural object. By merging biomorphic tessellation with minimalist geometry, PLANT‑0002 transcends utilitarian expectations to become a focal point—one that animates interior spaces through evolving light, texture, and human engagement.

How are the planter made?
Modern 3D printing technology is used to produce the UPETAL 3DESIGN planter.
This is how the extraordinary and delicate structure of the planter can be created - while at the same time being very light. We paid particular attention to sustainability and quality when it came to the material used. - a bio-plastic made from corn starch - we have paid particular attention to sustainability and quality.

What material are the planter made of?
Although PLA does not grow on trees or bushes and is therefore produced synthetically, it is biodegradable due to its ingredients and is therefore a great alternative to non-degradable plastic with similar properties.

Why are high temperatures damaging the planter?
If the planter is exposed to high temperatures (e.g. in direct sunlight behind a window), the material can lose stability, causing the planter to warp. A series of tests carried out over a few weeks came to the conclusion that this can happen , but does not happen in every case.
However, we expressly point out that there is a possibility that the planter can deform at temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

Can I put water in the planter ?
The 3D printed planter itself is not waterproof due to its manufacturing process, and water may seep out from the planter. We recommend using this planter for displaying dried flowers.

Can I have an item in a different colour/size?
All our items are homemade and can be made in a range of colours and sizes. If you can't find what you're looking for, or want something in a different selection, please drop me a message for custom requests.
